Town of North Hempstead recently announced a new Junior Golf initiative, where a child under the age of 13 plays a FREE round of golf at Harbor Links Golf Course, Port Washington, New York when accompanied by a paying adult.

“The Town of North Hempstead is committed to keeping residents of all ages active and engaged through our various programs. The Junior Golf program will provide our younger residents with an opportunity to utilize Harbor Links for practice or fun.”

Rules and regulations for North Hempstead’s Junior Golf initiative include:

The child must be under the age of 13 and accompanied by a paying adult to participate
Only valid during twilight times
After 3 p.m. from Opening Day to Memorial Day, and from Labor Day to Closing Day
Offer is valid seven days a week.
Only valid for a walk-up basis (no advance tee times allowed)

The Town of North Hempstead plans to roll out the Junior Golf initiative during the 2019 season.

SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music to offer FREE music instruction for local children in Potsdam, New York [#CraneSchoolOfMusic #FREEMusicInstruction #AllThingsFREE]

SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music will once again offer FREE music instruction for local children this year (2019).

Crane music education students will provide FREE instruction for home-school and private school students on woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. Children ages 9 to 15 (or in Grades 4 to 8) can learn to play flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, cornet or trumpet, trombone or percussion.

Crane undergraduate students will provide weekly lessons for children as a part of their music education curriculum. Lessons are taught using a variety of engaging instructional approaches and musical styles, for students at beginning through intermediate musical levels.

Lessons begin on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 and space is limited.
