Crook County Health Department will offer a Fall Weigh-In Class starting September 2019.

The class will be held at Crook County Human Services Building at 422 NW Beaver Street., Prineville, Oregon.

A welcome session will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019 from 1-2 p.m.

The Weigh-In class follows the curriculum of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, an evidence-based lifestyle change program for preventing Type 2 diabetes.

This class is not designed for people with diabetes, but rather for people who have risk factors for diabetes, such as being overweight, inactive, having a family history, or a diagnosis of pre-diabetes.

The sessions are weekly for the first 16 weeks, and then at least monthly for the rest of the year.

This class is FREE but registration will be capped at 20 people.

FREE rides around downtown Eugene in Oregon as part of new electric car [#FreeRides #EugeneOregon #AllThingsFREE]

FREE rides around downtown Eugene in Oregon will be available to you as part of a new electric car program.

EmGo riders will be able to hail a ride through a smartphone app starting Aug. 23, 2019. The launch coincides with the first day of the new MarketFest event at the 5th Street Public Market.

EmGo cars will operate from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. LTD will test EmGo cars for a year before deciding whether to make them a permanent transportation option in downtown Eugene.

University of Oregon Police are offering FREE self-defense classes on May 11, 2019: a basic introductory class from 3-4:30 p.m. in the Living Learning Center South performance hall, followed by a pepper spray class from 5-6 p.m. at the UOPD station, 2141 E. 15th Ave in Eugene, Oregon
