Kingsport Area Transit Service (KATS), Kingsport, Tennessee will start operations from their new transit facility on Monday, June 10, 2019.
The facility is located at 900 East Main Street.
According to KATS, all 6 routes have been improved, including the newest one – Route 6.
Route 6 will travel into Colonial Heights to serve additional riders and stop at Food City on Moreland Drive.
Information on the new routes will be available online this week, and new route books are available inside the transit center.
Due to the “learning curve” for riders and drivers, KATS will offer FREE bus rides on all bus routes all day long from June 10-28, 2019.
A grand opening event and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Friday, June 14.
Regional Area Medical (RAM) clinic — which visits Cleveland and other cities to bring FREE healthcare for a short window of time — is coming to Cleveland, Tennessee on June 1 and 2, 2019.
The annual RAM visit sets up on Friday afternoon May 31, and provides its services starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, until it closes on Sunday evening.
A RAM clinic is a major nonprofit provider of FREE mobile clinics. Its mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing FREE, quality healthcare to those in need. This is accomplished by delivering FREE dental, vision and medical services to underserved and uninsured individuals
This year’s clinic will be held at Cleveland High School, since the school offers numerous rooms for each medical professional to use to treat patients away from troublesome weather.

Comcast will offer FREE public WiFi in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee beginning Wednesday, April 25, 2019.
With thousands flocking to Nashville for the NFL Draft, along with other events this week, Comcast said it will open nearly 2,000 Xfinity WiFi hotspots throughout several of the most popular areas in Downtown Nashville.
These areas include Nissan Stadium, Cumberland Park, Broadway, Riverfront Park, Music Row, Centennial Park, the Gulch and Bicentennial Mall.
Beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, you can access these hotspots for FREE and will be able to continue doing so until Monday, April 29, 2019.
