Head to Wrexham for one of the best skate parks in the region. The Ponciau Banks Park has both a purpose built BMX track and a well equipped skate park.
The Track is open to the public all year.
The skate ramps offer exciting skating and riding opportunities.
A Youth shelter is situated adjacent to the skate park.
If you’ve got younger children, there is a toddler and junior play area, and the main park itself has plenty to keep you all entertained.
There are tennis and basketball courts.
The park also has a bandstand, Gorsedd circle of standing stones and a nature area.
The park has views over the surrounding countryside as far as Beeston Castle and the Peckforton Hills.
An interpretation board helps the visitor to spot these, and other, landmarks.
If your kids are into BMX and/or mountain bike riding, another option is the Marsh Tracks at Glan Y Morfa Industrial Estate in Rhyl.
It comprises of a 1.3 km closed circuit road cycling track and a national standard BMX race track featuring a Bensink start gate (exactly the same as the 2012 Olympic BMX track) and challenging jumps and berms.
In addition to these two tracks a third brand new mountain bike track has recently been opened allowing people to test their skills
