Starting this fall, the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is offering high school graduates in the U.S. Virgin Islands the opportunity to earn a four-year degree for virtually no tuition costs. This makes UVI the first historically black college and university (HBCU) to provide FREE tuition to students residing in its state or territory.

“A college degree is no longer a luxury that the rich and the academically and athletically gifted individuals can obtain. Higher education is a basic necessity and must be provided in the same way we provide other basic necessities.”
– UVI President David Hall
