The Bucks County District Attorney’s office in 2017 started a program called “Ben’s Campaign — Lock it Up” named in honor of Benjamin Austin Smith, a toddler who accidentally shot and killed himself inside his Milford home in 2016 after getting his hands on his father’s unsecured gun.
Through the initiative, the sheriff’s office and local police departments offer residents the FREE cable-style gun locks and safety information geared toward children.
