McDonald’s wants to help students get off to a strong start as they get ready to take the STAAR (State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness) exam.

The fast food chain is offering FREE breakfast for 3rd-8th grade students and teachers from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The FREE breakfast choices includes either an Egg White Delight McMuffin or fruit and maple oatmeal, apple juice or 1% low fat milk and apple slices.

The FREE offer requires students to go inside the restaurant to receive the breakfast and they must be accompanied by an adult.

Teachers taking advantage of the FREE breakfast offer must simply show their school ID.

For many people, South by Southwest (SXSW) is all about FREE food.

With that, Austin-based restaurant chain Torchy’s Tacos will bring FREE tacos, queso, and chips to the downtown area with a pop-up in conjunction with delivery service DoorDash. The pop-up takes place at 98 Rainey Street from Tuesday, March 12 through Thursday, March 14, 2019.

The pop-up menu features Torchy’s Trailer Park, green chile pork, and fried avocado tacos, plus chips and queso.

You have a chance to win a year’s worth of FREE food from Victor’s Mexican Grill as it opens its newest location.

The local chain is opening its third restaurant in Bakersfield, California.

The location’s grand opening is Monday, March 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.

The first 50 customers get FREE food for a year.

To celebrate, there will also be a burrito eating contest and prizes.

The new Victor’s is located at 2509 Mount Vernon Avenue, just off Bernard Street.
